The principals of Harbor First Solutions have been in the Auto Finance and Insurance industry for over 30 years. Our experience includes a unique blend of wholesale and retail automotive ranging from agents, sales and sales managers, Finance and Insurance managers, Business Development Managers, General Managers and F&I trainers
We are experienced with fully insured, retro and reinsured programs. HFS officers have developed certification, service drive and MOP (Missed Opportunity Programs) to help fulfill all our clients' needs.
Our company also has a wide array of marketing experience with print mailers, publications, e-commerce and database re-solicitation initiatives.

Meet Our Team
Ron began his professional career as a comptroller in a large regional bank in Boston, Massachusetts.
When he saw how the entire banking business was changing dramatically, he joined an organization providing financial institutions with credit related insurance products that generated fee income for the institutions rather that interest income.In 1983 he founded his own agency that offered a diverse array of automotive financial products and services to auto dealerships, membership based organizations.
Throughout Ron’s career, his companies have served the automotive financial services needs of 300 organizations. Ron’s group of companies, including HFS takes pride in providing their clients with not only a superior product but sales and service that is unmatched in a competitive marketplace. His philosophy is simple, maximizing the profitability opportunity for the client, while providing valuable products and services to the end users that creates loyalty and retention to our clients.
Greg began his automotive career began in 1992 at a local dealership as new car salesmen. He was quickly promoted to a sales and F&I manager until he was recruited in 1997 by GE Capital. At GE he was involved with automotive program development.
VP of Sales and Client Services
In 1999 Ron Scolamiero hired Greg to run one his company as Automotive Financial Services Manager. With his unique industry knowledge, an extensive background in retail and F&I, and experience as an educator and coach, the company quickly made its stake in the marketplace.Today, he is Vice President of Sales and Client Services for Harbor First Solutions and is deeply involved with all existing and new accounts of the company.

After a distinguished high school career in southeastern Massachusetts, including four years as president of his class, Derek attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. There, he helped a nonprofit organization bring scholarships to Philadelphia high schools, analyzed pricing strategies in the auto industry, and helped bring a new product to a first place finish at a design fair, before receiving a bachelor's degree in marketing.
Business Development Manager
Since then, as part of the Ford Motor Company's dealer organization, Derek became master certified with Ford, both for personal vehicles as well as the commercial lineup, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Ford's vehicles and the programs which support them. He also spent this time as a certified Sync Specialist, charged with demonstrating and explaining Ford's infotainment technologies to prospective customers and new owners.
